My name is Michelle Smith and I am very pleased to be teaching 6th grade math. This will be my 27th year teaching, with 18 of them being here at Smithton Elementary!
I graduated from Illinois State University in 1993 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in middle school math and science, in addition, I graduated from McKendree University in 2008 with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership.
I currently live in Smithton with my husband Mike, and my two children, Michael and Lexie. We have a new Goldendoodle puppy named Charley! He is so cute! We have lived here for 20 years.
When I am not teaching I enjoy shopping, scrapbooking and reading. I also spend my time watching Michael play football at McKendree University and Lexie play volleyball at Freeburg High School.
